We will develop the youth of LA, focusing in South LA, to become the best lacrosse athletes in the world. We will fulfil our mission by introducing the game to boys and girls in Los Angeles, specifically, South LA, and providing the necessary coaching and equipment for them to excel. Our goal is to cultivate the athletes in our area in order for them to be prospective blue chip recruits that will attend a university, on an athletic scholarship, and compete at the division one level. Ultimately, they will have gained a great education and go on to play professional lacrosse and dominate the game. Within the next three years, The LA ThunderBirds boy’s and girl’s teams will be good enough to compete at the national level. They will play against the top talent in the nation and win. We will become the leading producer in talent that will result to the majority of our kids eventually playing for Team USA and top tier universities. As of now, there are only a handful of well-known lacrosse players. There are even fewer well-known colored lacrosse players.
The two most famous African-American players right now are: Kyle Harrison and Miles Jones. Lacrosse is known for being a predominantly East Coast affluent Caucasian sport. However, because of our execution and dedication on behalf of our staff, parents and student-athletes we will change that together. We will be the biggest producer of talent, regardless of ethnic background. Although we are still new, we have been able to garner great interest from the community because of our thorough outreach with the community.
